I didn’t see this coming – not on my 2021 Bingo card. In a big change of plans, I’ve accepted a full-time position at the VA Dept of Health in their growing Community Health department as a Community Health Engagement Coordinator. This means I’ll be closing up shop in Lexington.
It’s an exciting chance to be apart of some big changes in public health, building wellness, and focusing on prevention of disease, but it wasn’t an easy decision. I started school for acupuncture in 2008, opening my first clinic in Chicago in 2013, and starting here in Lexington in 2018. I love this work and it has marked some of the best times of my life. I plan to bring all that holistic goodness and love to the VDH.
August 11th will be my last day in practice. I am hopeful to find a successor to Fire & Water to continue offering acupuncture in Lexington. Stay tuned for more on that. I want you all to know that it has been my sincere pleasure to work with you, and it is tough to say goodbye.
I’m wishing you all the best, sending health and contentment your way. I hope our paths cross again! Take care until then.
